Training at Southern Folger
Southern Folger offers in-depth training courses focused on Southern Steel™, Folger Adam™, and RR Brink™ high-security products. Designed for facility personnel, detention design engineers, architects, and consultants, these classes provide practical, technical insight—no prior experience with locks or keying systems is required.
AREAS OF INSTRUCTION: Mechanical Locks, Electromechanical Locks, Locking Systems, and Detention Accessories.
DURATION: Four days (Tuesday through Friday). Classes begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday and conclude at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
LOCATION: Southern Folger Detention Equipment Company, Training Center, 4634 South Presa Street, San Antonio, Texas, 78223
INSTRUCTORS: Eric Hendren, Technical Service Technician, 25-year detention veteran
Each seminar is limited to a maximum of 15 students—early enrollment is strongly encouraged!
Certificates are issued upon completion of the seminar. Attendance for the entire class is mandatory to receive the certificate of completion.
Food and Lodging
Lunch is provided on training days; however, all other meals, lodging and transportation are not included in this price. There are no motels/hotels within walking distance of our facility and a rental car or taxi service is required. The downtown area is about 10 minutes from our plant, and there are many hotels to choose from.
